Description

Bev Smith, the only nationally syndicated black female talk show host on radio, will no longer be on the air LIVE effective immediately. Smith tells Pittsburgh Urban Media that she was notified by phone earlier today and advised that her daily live broadcast will be substituted with previously aired shows.

The recorded shows will be played until October 28th, the original date that Smith says she was given to end the live broadcast.

"I am saddened that vast listening audience will not have an opportunity to hear the information and meet the quality experts that we have brought them over the past 13 years."

PUM contacted Jerry Lopes, President of Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation to get their response to several question about the reason for taking The Bev Smith Show off the air, Mr. Lopes said in a telephone interview that he did not wish to respond at this time to any questions about The Bev Smith Show.
